Mr. Bradley K. Duckworth is a Manager of Transportation Procurement and Strategy for Amazon, the largest Internet-based retailer in the world. Previously, Mr. Duckworth was a Director of Business Development for Kintetsu World Express, the seventh-largest multi-national logistics firm in the world. KWE provides comprehensive one-stop services and solutions that incorporate airfreight forwarding, Ocean freight forwarding and a full-range of logistics services to provide "Optimum Distribution Solutions" to its clients on a global scale.

Mr. Duckworth’s core competencies are global logistics operations management, supply chain development in emerging economies, logistics business development and procurement of multimodal transportation services. He has a wide depth and breadth of experience, both functionally and geographically. Mr. Duckworth has a deep understanding of global supply chains, having worked in the following regions: Sub-Saharan Africa, Middle East, Eastern Europe, and Central Asia. He has also managed both operations and account management teams in the following cities: Dubai, UAE; Moscow, Russian Federation; Riga, Latvia; Tbilisi, Georgia; Kabul, Afghanistan; Djibouti, Djibouti; Mombasa, Kenya and Lagos, Nigeria. During the course of his career he has worked in Operations, Procurement, Sales, Account Management and Business Development. Additionally, Mr. Duckworth has experience with Air, Ocean, Trucking, and Rail forms of transportation; as well as Warehousing and Cold Chain management.

Mr. Duckworth has over 11 years’ experience in the global transportation industry, joining the Maersk International Shipping Education (MISE) Program in 2004. He lived in South Africa where he worked on various procurement exercises on behalf of the Maersk Group throughout Southern Africa. He has traveled extensively in professional capacities to Europe, Africa, Asia and North America; this has imbued him with the ability to adapt to a diverse array of cultural and business environments. Moreover, Mr. Duckworth has worked in a variety of infrastructure conditions, from developed to third-world. He has established a reputation for being a knowledgeable transportation generalist, who is able to understand and communicate value drivers in global supply chains while driving execution to the benefit of the customer.

Highlights of Mr. Duckworth’s career include leading winning proposal efforts for multimodal contracts with the U.S. Government and NATO totaling over $425 million. Moreover, he was instrumental in the development of the Northern Distribution Network, a land supply route from both the Baltics and Caucasus regions to and from Afghanistan, transiting multiple countries in Central Asia. He also led two successful proposal efforts for the US Transcom’s Multimodal contract, a contracting vehicle that provides commercial transportation services to the US Military on a global scale.

Mr. Duckworth recently graduated with his Executive MBA from Georgetown McDonough School of Business, class of 2015. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama’s Culverhouse School of Business in International Business Management while also studying abroad at the Universidad de Alcalá de Henares in Alcalá de Henares, Spain.
